About HarmonyCA

HarmonyCA is a hybrid injectable that combines hyaluronic acid (HA) with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), used to add support and definition to the lower face, jawline and cheeks. At our Loughborough clinic it is carried out by a registered nurse prescriber, always after a face-to-face consultation. It is usually recommended as a course of two treatments so that results can be built gradually and reviewed along the way. Results are not permanent and vary from person to person, which is something we will talk through with you before anything is booked.

What HarmonyCA can help with

Many people consider HarmonyCA when they would like a little more structure or definition in the lower face, without wanting to look overfilled. It may be suitable if you feel your jawline has softened, if your cheeks or midface look flatter than they used to, or if you would like some added support along the lower face. It aims to add subtle definition while working with your own features rather than changing them. Whether it is right for you depends on your anatomy, your skin and your goals, all of which are assessed during consultation.

How HarmonyCA works

HarmonyCA is a dual-action product. The hyaluronic acid component can provide immediate support and volume where it is placed, giving definition you may notice soon after treatment. The calcium hydroxylapatite component is often described as supporting the skin over time, and this element is typically the reason a course is recommended. Because it is injected, HarmonyCA is a prescription-only treatment that must be assessed and administered by a registered prescriber. Individual responses vary, so we will set expectations that are realistic for you rather than promising a particular outcome.

Treatment areas and options

Common treatment areas include the lower face, the jawline, and the cheeks or midface. We offer HarmonyCA as a standalone treatment, with a course of two recommended for most people, and as a HarmonyCA course of two booked together. The right area, amount and plan are decided with you at consultation, based on what will suit your face. Exact pricing is discussed in clinic and confirmed before you go ahead.

Your consultation and what to expect

Every HarmonyCA journey begins with a face-to-face consultation with a registered nurse prescriber. We will talk through your medical history, your concerns and what you are hoping for, and assess whether the treatment is appropriate for you. If we proceed, the product is injected using a technique chosen for the area being treated. Many people find the appointment straightforward, and we will explain each step as we go. Because a course of two is usually recommended, we will also discuss timing and review points so you know what to expect over the coming weeks.

Is it right for me?

HarmonyCA is not suitable for everyone, and consultation is how we find out whether it fits your needs. It may not be appropriate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have certain skin or health conditions, or if another approach would serve you better. We would rather tell you honestly if it is not the right option. If you are unsure, a consultation is a no-pressure way to ask questions and understand what is realistic for you.

Aftercare

Personalised aftercare advice is given on the day, and the following are general points only:

  • You may notice some tenderness, swelling or bruising, which typically settles over the following days.
  • It can help to avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol and heat for a short period after treatment.
  • Try to avoid pressing or massaging the area unless advised otherwise.
  • Contact the clinic if you have any concerns, and attend any review appointment we arrange.
